Crowd-sourcing our prizes
In the years 2012-2017 our prize took the form of a DVD collection made up of favourite DVDs sent in by players of Oscars Predictery. Starting in 2018, players were invited to make a small donation to a prize fund, which was paid out to the winner. We did not run competitions in 2021, 2023 or 2024.

In 2012 it was suggested that we could invite participants to donate a DVD of a movie they enjoyed. The resulting prize collection of DVDs would be awarded to our winner. This worked well for FOUR competitions since 2012, but we're now wondering if many of us playing have now gone beyond DVDs. So we did a Twitter poll of our followers and you've told us to STICK WITH THE DVDs!
